WOMEN MOVING FORWARD MINISTRIES
Women Moving Forward Ministries in Los Angeles believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that there is One God, the Father eternal and self-existing in three-person’s (FATHER, Son, Holy Spirit).
We believe that we are in need of a Savior and that is Jesus Christ. We have a Sovereign God who shows Mercy and Love, and forgiveness of sins to mankind. With this revelation in mind, we know that as we grow and mature in the pure Word of God, one develops a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to encourage, inspire, and allow God to stir-up the Gift that He has given to women. We will provide a platform where women can come, grow, be empowered, and equipped to share the Word of God.
W.M.F.M. believes that there is someone waiting for you to bless them with the Word of God, as you step out into the vision the Father has entrusted you with. We want you to go from FAITH TO FAITH from FULLNESS to OVERFLOWING. W.M.F.M’s goal is helping women and others realize their God given potential!!!!

Meet the Ministers
Genise Brown is an ordained minister of the Gospel. She served at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Men’s Central Jail (MCJ) in Los Angeles, California and CRDF Womens Detention Center, in Lynwood CA. . Minister Brown now servers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Minister Genise Brown is a native of South Central Los Angeles. She has been a member of Crenshaw Christian Center since a teenager. She has grown spiritually under the Word of God through the anointed teachings of Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, and Pastor Frederick Price Jr.
Together with her husband of 36 years, Stanley Brown, they successfully raised two Spirit-filled daughters who love the Lord. Professionally, she has worked in the Entertainment Industry for more than 26 years.
In 2010, she answered the call to ministry. Upon completion of receiving her AA Degree in Biblical Studies from Apostle Frederick Price Ministry Training Institute (AFPMTI), Genise stepped out into Ministry and she responded to the invitation to begin teaching the Word of God. She stands on II Timothy 3:17, “Knowing that the men and woman of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Minister Pat Thompson
Pat Thompson is an anointed Psalmist and Teacher of the Word of God. Pat is also a Recording Artist and has written numerous songs that minister to the hearts of the hearers. Her CD, “Send the Rain,” not only reflects her relationship with Jesus Christ but her passion for a move of the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ and throughout the world.
Pat is a graduate of Cottonwood Christian Center’s School of Ministry where she earned an AA Degree in Biblical Studies, in Los Alamitos, California. An ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Pat has ministered in Johannesburg, South Africa, Cairo, Egypt, and at churches throughout Southern and Northern California, Louisiana, Texas, outreaches, retreats, prisons and convalescent homes. She has been volunteering at the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail for more than 5 years and also at the Central Regional Detention Center for Women in Lynwood, California where she teaches the Word of God and ministers in music. At a ceremony honoring the late civil rights leader, Rosa Parks, Pat had the honor of being the guest soloist. She has also performed for various City Councilmen, Mayors and Senators, as well as the former Governor of the State of California. In addition, she has performed at “Jazz at Drew”, the Marathon of Music (Los Angeles Marathon) sponsored by KALI Gospel Radio. Pat has appeared on several cable television programs.
Pat was a Worship and Praise Leader at Cottonwood Christian Center. She also taught at the Apostle Frederick K. C. Price Ministry Training Institute located at (Crenshaw Christian Center). God has placed in her heart a passion and a burning desire to reach the lost, to bind up the broken-hearted, and to set at liberty those who are bound (Isaiah 61:1).
Jesus has taught Pat and is continually teaching her that He can be totally trusted and depended upon in every situation. He has proven to her time and time again that He is God Almighty, Savior, Deliverer, Provider, Healer and Friend. He continues to demonstrate His unfailing love for her and she conveys this powerful message to others through the Word of God and Song.
Minister Thomasina Lawrence
Thomasina Lawrence was born again, filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues, and baptized when she joined Crenshaw Christian Center in July of 1978. The power of the Holy Spirit changed her life. She is a Prophet, Missionary, Licensed, and Ordained Minister, and teaches the Word of God. She Ministers the Gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime, to anyone. God has proven to her that “HE IS” in her life and He is directing her footsteps! She takes the Gospel to the world, according to Mark 16:15 “Go ye therefore into all the world and preach the Gospel.” She Ministers to children and youth ages 8-18, in the juvenile detention centers and in youth camps. She ministers to men in MCJ, and to women in Women’s Detention Center. She is a mentor to the Youth within her organization (YCA). She is also an alumni and graduate of Apostle Frederick Price Ministry Training Institute (AFPMTI), USC Faith Leaders Institute, CCC Missions Training Institute, and Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
Minister Lawrence is also an entrepreneur. She’s the Founder of Young Christian Astronomers’, a youth mentoring program, McGhee Broadcast. These Small Businesses are affiliates of Thomasina Lawrence Ministries. She has two daughters Marlo, and Jameelah 5 grandchildren that she adores, Jazmin, Cedric, Jazarae, Jade, Mya.
Mrs. Demetria Payne is a born again Spirit filled woman of God, born and raised in Los Angeles Ca.
A Minister of the Gospel. Mrs. Demetria Payne is a teacher at Frederick KC Price III Christian School.
Working in her field for over 20 years, she’s been a member of Crenshaw Christian Center for over
15 yrs. She has consistently proven herself to be a loyal and dedicated individual to both her professional and loyal life.
Minister Demetria Payne is a graduate of Cottonwood Christian Center School of Ministry
where she earned a AA degree in biblical studies. She accepted her call to Minster alongside her
husband Chaplain Terry Payne at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles.
Minister Demetria Payne also partner’s with her family business, Dorothy’s House, a transitional housing where the homeless are fed, clothed, and minister to.
Demetria is a mother and grandmother. The scripture she lives by is Psalm 91.

Ms. Cheryl Winborne has lived in Los Angeles for 38 years. She has been a member of Crenshaw Christian Center for 30 years and a hostess at C.C.C. for 10 years. Cheryl has been a legal secretary for 30 years.
She has 2 wonderful boys, William and Russel, of whom she is very proud.
Her favorite scripture is: "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord; plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 AMP
